Garage Door Steel Embossing

Fast, safe, customized hydraulic steel embossing presses for ranch, carriage and many other garage door styles

The workhorses of the industry

Our precision, fully-automated and customizable hydraulic presses are built to make our customers’ operations as efficient as possible, and they’re built to last. Boasting cycle times as short as 1 second (in our 350 ton presses), Reed City Tool presses are known globally as the gold standard of the garage door and steel shingle panel manufacturing industries. Unique, fully-automated rapid die change systems ensure our customers maximize design flexibility while minimizing downtime.

Whether customers prefer carriage, ranch, or any other embossed panel style, our state of the art presses make the manufacturing process fast, simple and safe.

In addition to fully automated custom systems, our team trains your employees in the most efficient ways to utilize them. Most training sessions last two days, giving a thorough overview of how to use our systems most efficiently. Once setup is complete, our die change units can even be run automatically from a remote office.

Rapid Change Die Splitters

More product flexibility, dramatically less downtime

Our automated press and die change systems are safer than manually operated presses, as the push-button Human Machine Interface (HMI) system lies outside operator zone. Automation also allows for faster die changes and less downtime, being able to interchange up to eight dies, as many as 30-40 times per day.

We design, manufacture, assemble and test all our equipment here in our facility, so there are no issues in the field. At Reed City Tool, our qualified team provides expert repair service and support for equipment and presses, long after the warranty has expired.

Watch our Engineering Manager explain how our unique die change unit automates the die change process down to two minutes. The customizable system can be easily integrated into existing Reed City Tool presses and made to accommodate up to eight dies and dozens of die changes per day.
